Dallas sits at the crossroads of country, blues, and rock and roll — and this premium afternoon workshop maps the musical geography of the Lone Star State through stories, instruments, and original song. Led by a music historian from the University of Texas and a professional Nashville songwriter, guests explore the roots of Texas music from Robert Johnson's Delta blues to Willie Nelson's outlaw country and Stevie Ray Vaughan's electric revolution. The hands-on component guides each guest through writing the first verse of an original song using authentic Texas idioms and chord structures. The experience includes a live performance, a premium Texas craft beer flight, and a vinyl record curated for each guest. Held in the landmark Dallas Public Library. Ideal for music lovers, creative travelers, and storytellers. Capped at 12 guests per session.
